
The IESA gives out a Sportsmanship Pin to one player from each team that is chosen by the opposing coaches in championship games of post-season play.
The criteria for the award are as follows:
-Shows a positive attitude toward teammates, opponents, and officials
-Gives the best effort on the field
-Does not argue calls and is respectful to officials
-Displays positive body language at all times
-Helps elevate the play and behavior of their teammates and peers
At last night's IESA Regional Championship game, Gabe Pyles was selected as the Sportsmanship Athlete of the Game for Midland! Congratulations! Way to represent Midland, Gabe! We are proud of you.
